A small leak in one of the fuel tanks was recently noticed.
The owners had the vessel serviced by Advanced Marine in Campbell River.
Both engines were removed to access the fuel tanks and BOTH tanks were replaced.
While on the hard, the following improvements were done
2 x NEW manifolds
2 x New Bellows
2 x New pumps for lifting the legs
2 x New fuel filters
This was an extensive service and the power train and fuel systems are in good running order.
This 'Allwest' house/cruiser has had extensive work recently completed on it's exterior both above and below the waterline.
Used as a scuba diving platform, it has two heavy duty dive ladders off the aluminum swim grid with easy access to the main and upper decks.
The Tantalus is 'Commercially' CERTIFIED and a condition of it's sale, would be that it's not used for commercial business in the Campbell River area.
Both fresh water cooled with heat exchangers and raw water pumps, Volvo KAMD diesel engines have been recently extensively serviced and are in good running order.
The drivetrain is two fully submerged torpedo's vertically driven with cavitation plates raised and lowered with hydraulic trim and tilt systems [Stern Drives]
Shift and throttle levers are manual cable systems.
Fuel capacity is reported to be 200 gallons in two tanks, and estimated speed is 30 knots.
Audible alarms indicate abnormal water temperature and or lubricating oil pressure.
This aluminum vessel other than the ceilings of the deckhouse is considered heavy for it's intended service.
28" high Stainless Steel welded hand rails are 1" construction and provide safe access to movement while forward and aft aboard the vessel.
Bulkhead rails are 35" in height.
There are two hydraulic steering stations - deckhouse cabin and on the command bridge.
Power is provided by 125V AC dockside cable with main switch and breaker panel and 12V DC power supplied by 4 - 27 series lead acid batteries and 2 - 4 position marine type battery switches.
Batteries are contained in secured acid-resistant , non-conductive boxes and meet ABYC standards.
Batteries are charged by 2 90 amp belt driven engine alternators with internal regulators and a battery charger.
Wiring is marine grade to and from the distribution panel.
Exterior fixtures are industrial weathertight types. Interior fixtures are marine and non-marine 12V DC types.
Two 12V DC 1 1/8" bilge pumps operate both manually and automatically.
Anchor package includes a 20# patent type anchor with 50' galvanized chain and 100" rode.
Navigation aids include;
Furuno NAVnet GPS depth sounder at helm station
New GPP sounder on command bridge
Icom IC-M601 VHF Radio
The interior of this 'Allwest' 37" is original and needs updating.
