Last built in 1986, Islander sailboats can be found around the world and are a testament to a quality of construction that’s stood the test of time.
This particular Masthead Sloop has travelled from the East Coast to the Caribbean and has spent the past years exploring coastal British Columbia.
It’s moored in Comox on Vancouver Island and its present owner has moved to another province.

Notes from 2021 Marine Survey
The Perkins 4108 4 cylinder 46hp was rebuilt in 2008. Fuel capacity is 100 litre s stored in an alloy tank.
The Stainless Steel shaft is 3/4” and has a three blade Bronze propeller. [Reported as almost new in 2021]
This vessel is a keel stepped Marconi rig with two sets of spreaders and slab reefing on the
boom. Rigging generally appears in good condition, as sighted from deck level. Shrouds, stays
and turnbuckles are in good condition.
Hydra Tensioner hydraulic back stay adjuster is in good condition. Twin Lewmar 48
self tailing dual speed head sail winches in the cockpit. Most mainsail handling lines are lead aft
to starboard mounted Lewmar 40 winch adjacent to the companionway. The main sheet traveler
arch is forward of the companionway. A single speed winch is also mounted to the mast for the
genoa halyard. The running rigging was all in serviceable condition. Sails include main , genoa
and drifter, which are all seen to be in good condition.
On the bow roller a 15kg Rocna anchor connected to 100 feet of 5/16 BB chain and 200 feet
(Est.) of 5/8” nylon rode with a Simpson Lawrence vertical windlass. Also a spare 10 kg
Danforth anchor with 200 ft. of rode is secured in the aft cockpit locker locker
The main switch panels and voltage meter are located at the navigation/chart table with the
battery bank isolation switch found above the main cabin sole near the navigation area.
House Battery - 2 x 6v Trojan T105 found under the port settee
Start Battery - 2 x G24 found under the quarter berth
The galley is equipped with a Hillerange Marine two burner propane stove with
thermocouples meets current ABYC standards. The propane tank with on/off solenoid and
regulator is mounted in the aft cockpit.
Pressure hot and cold domestic water is provided to the galley and head vanity via 3 GRP tanks
totalling 100 gallons. All plumbing looks to be well executed and in good condition. The
propane Paloma on demand water heater is under the head sink.
Single stainless steel sink and ice box complete the package in the galley.
Standard Jabsco Marine toilet and head sink are connected directly to thru hull valves. The
marine head is not equipped with a holding tank and is not in compliance with Transport Canada
