The 2859 Classic features a deep, beamy hull and efficient interior design making it the roomiest cruiser in its size. The forward berth, convertible dinette, and midship berth featuring a private change area with standard door all provide sleeping space for 6 people. In reality, the cabin provides accommodation for a family of 4 in complete privacy. A 2003 model, this boat was re-engined in 2010 with a brand new 5.7 Mercruiser MPI coupled to a Bravo III twin prop sterndrive. The engine total hours are clocked at 315 hours. Combined with a powerful factory installed bow thruster and the bite of the twin prop setup this boat is a breeze to handle in tight spaces, and docking situations. The 2859 features a step up, hard top pilot house/sitting area with side facing sliding glass windows making it a very weatherproof area. The sunbrella camper top attached to the rear of the hardtop is in excellent condition with new glass installed this summer. The 2859 makes an excellent cruiser in the 8 knot (9.2 MPH) 1200 RPM range, but has the get up and go to have you up on plane and running at 24 knots (27 MPH) at an economical 3700 RPM, which makes complete sense for a  cruising boat in these times of rising fuel prices. The main cabin features a large 4 seat center facing dinette style table, a massive forward vee berth due to the classic hull design, full galley, marine head/shower, and a completely private midship cabin. The large engine compartment gives more than enough space and access to perform standard engine maintenance without being a contortionist. This boat is a fresh water only vessel and has been well cared for, and regularly maintained.
