Paul Larson built his first boat in Little falls, Minnesota in 1913. For 2010, Larson offers twenty-one models in five series of runabouts, deck boats, day cruisers, and cruisers from seventeen to thirty-seven feet.
The LXi 238 is one of four upscale sportboats in the LXi series all of which utilize Larson’s unique, innovative, and patented VEC manufacturing process and Duo Delta Conic SofRide™ deep-vee hull design.
Stepping aboard the large extended swim platform of the LXi 238 offers immediate access to the full-width sunlounge that flips up with the help of two gas shock assists to reveal a large dry storage compartment beneath. A concealed, telescoping, 4-step boarding ladder is provided both within the swim platform and within the bow anchor storage compartment.
Access from the swim platform into the deep cockpit is made easy with both port and starboard walk-thru’s with integrated floor storage/cooler compartments. The rear bench seat has a centre lift-up section with storage below framed with stainless steel rails. The integrated fibreglass cockpit floor offers more storage in a centre section and snap-in carpet is standard.
Driver and passenger are both pampered with deluxe S2 sport bucket seats with swivels, sliders, and flip-up bolsters. Behind the tilt steering wheel, the dash contains the normal complement of sterndrive gauges plus a depth finder, hour meter, and a remote control for the standard AM/FM stereo with MP3/iPod™ port and four speakers. A transom mounted tilt switch for the outdrive is standard.
The driver’s console contains another storage unit while the passenger console features a change room complete with sink with Corian® vanity, vented window, more storage, and optional Porta-Potti with pumpout. Wraparound bow seating offers even more storage on both sides plus padded backrests.
Quality stainless steel hardware can be found throughout the LXi 238 from the eight pop-up mooring cleats and safety interior grab handles to the windshield supports and ten drink cup holders. A custom colour-matched swing-tongue trailer with custom wheels is standard equipment. Choose from a short options list for all canvas, a wakeboard tower, and a few other desirable items.
